Apple trees are one of the most popular fruit trees in our gardens, but they are often attacked by summer, especially fruits. If there is no sufficient attention to prevention during this period, the fruit yield may be significantly reduced. Fortunately, experienced gardeners share effective ways to protect the apple tree from pests in June and ensure juicy and healthy apple crops.
Why June is it necessary to spray apple trees from pests?
Probably every gardener is familiar with a situation where a beautiful -looking apple barely started to eat reveals an unpleasant “surprise” – a worm inside. Not only do such fruits lose their appearance, they also become unsuitable for consumption. The appearance of these pests is caused by the caterpillars of the fruit, which are located in apples that are not yet unleaded and are rapidly damaged.
In order to avoid this, timely prevention spray is very important. It is best to do this in early June before the active process of ripening the fruit has started.

What preparations to use?
According to gardeners, the following preparations are extremely effective in the fight against frostbits:
- “Fufanon”
- „Calypso“
- „Lepidocidas”
These preparations should be diluted according to the manufacturer’s instructions and spraying the apple tree in dry and calm air – in the morning or evening, when there is no direct sunlight. It is important to keep up to June 20 to prevent the spread of pests.
Fertilization – no less important
In addition to protection against pests, the apple tree is necessary in June to make the fruit juicy and sweet. One of the recommended mixtures:
- 1 tbsp of potassium sulfate
- 1 tbsp of superphosphate
- 10 liters (1 bucket) of water
This solution should be watered around the trunk of the apple tree, but not at the roots, but about 20-30 cm apart. The procedure can be repeated after two weeks, and continue fertilization until active apple ripening.
Proper care in June is the key to a healthy apple tree in the fall. Timely spraying and fertilization will help protect against worm apples and enjoy sweet, juicy fruits. Take care of your garden now – nature will definitely reward!
