The Iranian authorities claim that Friday’s Israeli attacks caused only limited damage in the enrichment facilities in Fordó and Isfahan areas. Meanwhile, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (Maae) Rafael Grossi said, according to Reuters, that the above -ground part of the nuclear facility in Nanzz is completely destroyed, TASR reports.

“Only areas outside the inhabited parts were affected, so in the case of Fordó there were no damage in the city zones… In Isfahana, there were attacks on several places, while the fires broke out in warehouses,” A spokesman for the Iranian Agency for Atomic Energy said. In his words, the damage is not “extensive and there is no contamination”.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Friday evening that Israel had been doing against Iran “one of the greatest military operations in history”. He launched his first series of “preventive strokes” on Friday night against military and nuclear targets in Iran. On Friday evening reports on attacks on other sites in Iranian territory appeared.

The Israeli army claims that in the attack it seriously damaged the underground complex in Nananza, where there were centrifugs to enrich uranium and support infrastructure. Grossi, however, told the UN Security Council that the above -ground part of the nuclear plant for enriching uranium in Nananza was completely destroyed. “At this point, we do not have enough information except for those that indicate that military activities have also been carried out around the facilities (in Isfahana and Fordó),” He stated Grossi, referring to the Iranian Party’s claim.
