Italy: arrested in Greece suspected of murdering mother and infant in Rome

A suspect for an American mother and her six -month -old daughter, at last weekend, was arrested at.

The news was broadcast by Italy’s TG1 news channel on social networking channels on Friday, June 13th.

According to the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, the 46 -year -old man was arrested on the island of Skiathos.

The mother and daughter were homeless and were sleeping in Rome’s Villa Pamphili Park for some time. This is a popular point for jogging in the Italian capital.

The two were found dead on Saturday afternoon 7/6.

How did the authorities arrive in his traces

The man, according to Corriere, tried to hide in Greece, but made the fatal mistake of taking his cellphone with him, thanks to which the police could find him. As the newspaper writes, eyewitnesses said that the arrested speaks Italian.

This decisive turn in investigations is due to eyewitnesses allegedly seeing the man hugging the unfortunate infant in the park, as well as images of closed security cameras.

At the same time, on June 20, the 46 -year -old, in drunkenness, allegedly struck with his partner in downtown Rome and needed the intervention of the police.
