“The commitment to building a safer world without a nuclear threat must be carried out through respecting meetings and sincere dialogue in order to build a permanent peace based on justice, brotherhood and common well,” the head of the Catholic Church said. “No one should ever threaten the existence of another,” Pope Leo added.

States are to support peace

The Pope noted that it was the duty of all states to support peace, to initiate the paths of reconciliation and promote solutions that guarantee security and dignity for all.
