Fifteen professional firefighters from Nové Mesto nad Váhom, Trenčín, Piešťany and Trnava intervene from the morning in the fire of wood chips in the cooperative area in the village of Posvorice in the New Town district. The spokesman of the Regional Directorate of the Fire and Rescue Corps (HaZZ) in Trenčín Marián Petrík informed about it.
The fire was reported shortly after 6.30 am. “The fire was located shortly after 10.00 am, extinguishing work is currently underway. The fire and its immediate surroundings are monitored by a drone. The fire of the wood chip kicks then spread to the nearby wooden waste and firewood, ” added a spokesman.
Professional firefighters are currently assisted by 13 volunteer fire brigades. No one was hurt in the fire.
