Bayern Munich thrashed 10-0 Auckland City on Saturday (15) in the second game of the FIFA World Cup. The fans in Cincinatti, Ohio, in the United States, watched the German team walk in the field while the New Zealands failed while trying to react.

The match brought the first goals in the history of the tournament – a revamped and expanded version of the Club World Cup – after a 0-0 draw between Inter de Miami and Al Ahly the day before.

The debut goal was scored after five minutes by the French Kingsley Coman. From a corner, he received a touch of Jonathan Tah’s head and headed into the beams.

By the end of the first half, the German team had already scored a total of six goals. Bayern dominated the game virtually absolutely, almost without threats in their defense area. Auckland City made its first finish after the 20 minutes of the second stage.

The midfielder Jamal Musiala was the main highlight of the match, with three goals even after entering 15 minutes into the second half.

Coman, midfielder Michael Olise and veteran Thomas Müller scored two goals each. Right-back Sacha Boey completed the scoring.

Musiala had been on the field for less than ten minutes when he scored his first goal after replacing the English idol Harry Kane. Shortly thereafter, he suffered a penalty when the score was already 7-0 for the German team. He himself made the charge, scoring the eighth goal of the match and expanding the tragedy of the New Zeolanded team.

The differences of this new World Cup are several, starting with the 32 participating teams playing at a group stage, with participants from all continents.

This Sunday, there will also be the debut of the Brazilian team Palmeiras, which will play against Porto at 19h, and Botafogo, which faces Seattle Sounders.
