Doctors who carry out beauty surgery must inform their patients about all possible risks-otherwise they face high claims for damages in the event of complications. However, this does not apply without exception: Doctors are open to the evidence that their patient would have decided on the operation even if the information has been extended. This was confirmed by the Supreme Court (OGH) in a recent decision (OGH 27.5.2025, 9 Ob 55/25S).
