The former president () plans to launch his son (PL) to senator by Santa Catarina, according to local politicians and leaders. The candidacy has already been discussed with the governor (PL), his ally, and communicated to parliamentarians.
Carlos would make a double with Mello, who will be a candidate for reelection, and with Mrs Caroline de Toni (PL). For this, the former president’s son would need to establish bond with the state and change his electoral domicile from Rio de Janeiro to Santa Catarina until April 4.

The youngest brother of the former president, Renato, should still be candidate for federal deputy for São Paulo.
