The launched on Saturday (14) a new wave of missiles and drones against, reaching the refueling centers of combat aircraft, according to the ideological arm of the Iranian Armed Forces. The attack marks another episode of the growing military tension between the two countries, which live the largest war climbing in recent history. According to the Iranians, the offensives had as targeted fuel production facilities and power supply centers used by military aircraft.

The night before, Iran had already activated its anti -aircraft defenses in various regions of the country after new Israeli bombings, which reached Tehran fuel deposits and caused fires. The headquarters of the Iranian Ministry of Defense was also hit on Saturday (from Brasilia, Sunday in the region), with light damage, according to the local Tasnim agency.

On the Israeli side, the Armed Forces confirmed the shooting of Iranian missiles on Saturday (14), which led to the activation of emergency alerts and the temporary confinement of the population in shelters. Residential buildings in the coastal and northern regions of the country were hit, resulting in 14 injured, including a person in serious condition. Among the most affected places is Western Galilee, near the city of Haifa.

Israel responded to attacks by bombing an underground missile launch installation in western Iran and reaffirmed the Iranian nuclear program. The Israeli government claims that Tehran is approaching a “point without return” in an attempt to develop an atomic bomb – a accusation that Iran denies, stating that its program is civil purposes.

The air operation started by Israel on Friday (13) has already destroyed more than 200 military and nuclear facilities, according to the country’s army, and resulted in the deaths of at least 20 Iranian commanders. Iran, in turn, states that at least 78 people died in the attacks, mostly civilians. Iranian President Masud Pezeshkian has promised an “even stronger” answer if Israeli attacks continue, while Israeli’s premie, Benjamin Netanyahu threatened to directly attack the capital of the enemy country. “Tehran will burn,” said Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz.

The United States and Russia, through their presidents Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, asked for the immediate end of hostilities. Nevertheless, the United Kingdom announced the sending of combat planes to the region as part of an emergency support operation. Tensions also impacted nuclear negotiations between Iran and the United States. Oman, who means dialogue, canceled the round of meetings scheduled for this Sunday in Mascate.

According to Pezeshkian, Iran will not accept “irrational demands under pressure” and will not resume dialogue as long as the attacks continue. The exchange of offensive raises the risk of a broader regional conflict and rekindles fears about the future of security in the Middle East.
