The Israeli airline announced on Sunday (15.jun.2025) the suspension of all its flights until at least 19 June. Part of the routes, especially bound for Europe, will remain canceled until June 23rd.
The measure was taken after the closure of Israeli airspace caused by the escalation of the conflict with Iran. The information is from the agency.
The company had already suspended flights until June 17. According to a statement, the operations will be resumed gradually, according to the release of aviation and safety authorities. El Al also reported that it intends to operate rescue flights from neighboring countries.
Since the beginning of the war in Gaza on October 7, 2023, El Al has been one of the few companies to keep flights to Tel Aviv. Some foreign operators have taken their resuming routes, but they once again suspended the services after the exchange of attacks between Israel and Iran this weekend.
The Israeli National Security Council has recommended that travel to the country are not made through Egypt and Jordan. Both regions are classified with maximum security alert (level 4). The agency directs that Israeli citizens abroad await instructions from the Ministry of Transport.
