Meet a Catholic priest, a rabbi, an imam and a Zen master and go to a laboratory to take drugs. No, this is not the beginning of a joke, but the starting point of a scientific study. A research team from John’s Hopkins University in Baltimore and New York University Grossman School of Medicine invited 29 spiritual of all major world religions that had no previous experiences with psychedelics, a guided drug trip. The aim was to find out what causes psilocybin, the psychoactive substance that occurs in Magic Mushrooms, in humans that are full -time with spirituality.
