The governor of, (Republicans), published on Sunday morning (15) a video that resembles a preaching, in a clear nod to the Christian electorate.
He made references to biblical characters, such as Abraham and Moses, and reinforced the message of obedience to God.
“God establishes an alliance with Abraham, an Abrahamic covenant, when he speaks: leaves your house, leaves his parenle, leaves his father’s house. Where? It doesn’t matter, I will show you the way, I will bless you. What did Abraha do?
Then he quotes Moses, who led the escape from the Jews of Egypt. “God made this covenant with Moses. Go there, free my people from Pharaoh. [Diz Moisés] Who am I to free my people? What God responds to him? I am with you “.
In the video caption, the governor said that “it is through obedience that we can experience the power of God,” before wishing a blessed Sunday to all.
In the post’s comments, Tarcisio received praise from evangelical leaders such as Senator Magno Malta (PL-ES), who posted emojis of applause, and the PL leader in the House, Sostenes Cavalcante (RJ), who said that the governor is “a preacher with perfect biblical knowledge.”
Although Catholic, Tarcisio usually makes several gestures toward the public, such as attending annually to the March for Jesus in São Paulo.
In 2022, when he was a candidate for governor,
and Tarcisio, if he is running for the presidency, comes out with an advantage in this segment.
In the first round simulation done in the survey released on Saturday (14), he reaches 27% among evangelicals, against 21% in the total electorate.
In the second round simulation against Lula, the governor wins 54% to 29% in this segment, while in the general electorate there is a technical draw (43% to 42% for the petista).
