Washington (Reuters)-The government of the US President, Donald Trumpguided the immigration authorities to suspend largely operations on farms, hotels, restaurants and refrigeratorsaccording to an internal email seen by Reuters, a senior employee of Trump and a source familiar with the subject.
The order to reduce the investers of the US immigration and customs service came from Trump himself, according to the source, and seems to control a requirement made in late May by the main white house advisor, Stephen Miller, so that the operations were more aggressive.
Trump was not aware of the extent of the inspection effort and “as soon as it came to him, he retreated,” he said.

The new guideline, issued on Thursday, also allows investigations of serious crimes such as trafficking in persons. The New York Times first reported the orientation.
Trump took office in January promising to deport millions of immigrants who are illegally in the US. But while Trump has structured the effort around the removal of serious criminals, thousands of suspects of immigration crimes without criminal record have been arrested in recent months.
The most aggressive tactics of the immigration service – including operations in Los Angeles – generated protests and resistance from the Democrats. Some republican parliamentarians asked the government to focus on criminals.

Trump said on Thursday he would soon issue a decree to deal with the effects of his repression of immigration on the country’s agricultural and hotel sectors, which depend strongly on immigrant labor.
“We will follow the president’s guidance and continue to work to get the worst of the worst illegal foreign criminals from the streets of America,” the US Department of Internal Security Department Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement when asked about the new immigration service orientation.
