The soup is one of the most universal dishes that combines taste, nutritional values and the speed of preparation. Just a few simple ingredients to create a meal full of vegetables, protein and healthy fats. Thanks to this, the soup can be easily digestible and at the same time very nutritious – perfect for the whole dinner.
Just fry the bacon, add vegetables, and then pour everything with broth. After a while, a dish full of taste and valuable nutrients is created. The cream poured at the end adds a creamy consistency, and the beans additionally enriched it with protein and fiber. The soup not only warms up, but also adds energy and supplements mineral deficiencies. Simple and delicious – it should be in the daily menu.
Ingredients:
- 1.5 liters of water or poultry broth,
- 700 g of potatoes,
- 300 g of white canned beans,
- 150 g of raw smoked bacon,
- 2 carrots,
- by,
- onion,
- 2 cloves of garlic,
- 50 ml of cream 30%,
- several branches of thyme,
- a teaspoon of dried savory,
- bay leaf,
- Salt and pepper.
Method of performance:
Cut the bacon into small cubes. Put him into a dry, hot pan and fry until browned and melting fat. Then put the bacon to a large pot together with the fat that melted.
Finely chop the onion, garlic and leek. Peel the carrot and cut into slices, potatoes into cubes. Add everything to the pot with bacon, gently fry the whole for a few minutes, stirring.
Pour the vegetables with water or broth. Add bay leaf, savory, thyme branches, salt and pepper. Cook on low heat for about 30 minutes, until the potatoes and carrots are soft.
Add beans to the pot. Cook for another 5-10 minutes. Finally, pour in the cream, mix and boil the whole, but do not cook long – only for a light combination of ingredients.
Try the soup and if necessary season to taste with salt and pepper. You can remove thyme branches before serving.
