Increased contract was confirmed by Emily Pleasure, President of the Grand Prix and Commercial Director of F1

The Las Vegas Grand Prix will remain on the calendar for another 2 years, with a contract for 2026 and 2027.

The confirmation was made on Saturday (14.jun.2025) by Emily Pleasure, president of the Las Vegas Grand Prix and commercial director of F1 during an event in Montreal. The information was released by the newspaper The Athletic.

F1 had already included Las Vegas in the 2026 calendar, even without formal communication on the renewal of the current contract, which would end in 2025.

“We collectively agree that we will do an extension from two years to 2026 and 2027”he said pleasure. “We want to ensure that we continue to evolve what we are doing. But the intention is a much longer agreement. As we all know, the race had its challenges, but we are overcoming it. So we want to ensure that it continues to work on both sides.”.

The event in Montreal was attended by executives of partner casinos, including representatives of Wynn, MGM Grand, Caesars and Venetian, as well as LVCVA (Las Vegas Visitor and Convention Authority).

Las Vegas entered the F1 calendar in 2023 with an initial 3 -year contract. Despite this deadline, there was already a long -term commitment to Casino partners and a 10 -year approval of Clark County for the race on the strip.

Steve Hill, CEO and president of LVCVA, highlighted the intention to make the event permanent in the city. “The duration of extensions reflects nothing but what makes sense increasingly, we know what will happen in the coming years. We are planning that this is a permanent race, we will just continue to plan extensions that will likely expand as we move.”

For 2025, the organizers anticipated the start time from 10 pm to 8 pm local time from Saturday, serving feedback of teams and fans about the late start of the race.

The reduction was foreseen because of the high initial infrastructure investments. In 2024, the race attracted 306,000 spectators and 175,000 tourists, with an increase in hotel occupation (from 80% to 87%). After criticism, the organizers promoted greater integration with the community.
