FC Porto draws with Palmeiras in the debut at the Club World Cup

FC Porto and Palmeiras drew zero at their debut at the Club World Cup. Claudio Ramos convinced in goal and dragons have created several opportunities, despite the lack of goals.

FC Porto debuted on Sunday in the renewed club world with a draw without goals against Palmeiras, at Metlife Stadium, in New Jersey, United States.

The big news in eleven blue and white was the debut of Gabir Veiga reinforcement.

Rodrigo Mora, Martim Fernandes and Fábio Vieira were close to scoring, but bumped into Weverton’s defenses. In the first part, FC Porto just did not suffer thanks to three interventions by Claudio Ramos.

Zé Pedro still wasted a clear occasion in the second half, shooting over when he was alone in the area.

The referee of the match was Said Martinez from the Honduras.

The dragons again play on Thursday, against Inter Miami, in a clash scheduled for 15:00 local (20:00 in Lisbon) in Atlanta.
