Louvre staff at the limit, tourists in front of closed doors

Paris – The Louvre in Paris stayed closed for hours on Monday due to a wild strike. According to the media, the staff protested against chronic lack of personnel, unreasonable working conditions and visitor masses. Museum guards, cash and security staff refused to start their service at an internal meeting. According to Louvre, the doors were reopened at 2:30 p.m.
