Kupała Night also called Sobótka and associated with the Christian Midsummer Night This is the most important folk holiday, rooted in the culture of our ancestors. It falls during the summer solstice, i.e. on the longest day of the year. In 2025 it will take place on June 21. This event is full of numerous rituals – meet one of the less known, which is very easy to do.
The Slavs had a lot of symbols, the most widespread is the eight -butter turnstile and the so -called God’s hands, however, there were many more. We will need one of the simpler symbols to draw during Kupała Night. It was then that, apart from wreaths or decorating costumes and bodies with flowers and herbs, symbols were also used. Slavic culture and deity are poorly known because of the little -preserved, reliable materials, but some traditions survived, one of them is Sobótka.
One of the rare symbols of the Slavs is a closed circle, It probably referred to the moonfish And it was used during some rituals, but round symbols are definitely better known, which were related to, among others with fullness. Stars, heaven and what associated with them were an important source for our ancestors. It is the closed circle that can be help during Kupała Night.

During the Kupała night, you can do many rituals, apart from braiding and making wreaths, it is also worth reaching for a brush and soaking it in clay – preferably red, but if you do not have it, it will also work different. Paint the brush soaked in clay on the right wrist, a closed circle – i.e. leave approximately 1 cm of distance from the inside of the hand. Paint this sign in the evening and leave at least until midnight.
Kupała Night is a time when two elements were worshiped – fire and waterit was believed that this day was filled with joy and happiness. This “kind of magic” of Sobótka can help to close the closed circle, and thus bring us happiness for the next year (counting for the next summer solstice) and help us find love.
