Subsequently, the perpetrator, now working in a security company, went dressed in a police uniform and wearing a bulletproof vest at the house of Senator John Hoffman and shot himself and his wife. The couple are alive, but are in critical condition.
Their nephew told social media that the senator and his wife “ate” five bullets each and needed many surgeries to save their lives. Doctors express “restrained optimism” about their condition.
In Brooklyn Park, a manhunt has been launched for the arrest of the perpetrator who escaped on foot and authorities have told residents to stay locked in their homes until the arrest is announced. In the last two years he has been working – or more correctly, worked – for the security company “Praetorian Guard Security”, where he had taken over the head of the private company patrols.
