Liberals support Pedro Duarte in the race to the succession of Rui Moreira. Decision on Lisbon remains unknown.
The liberal initiative (Il) Apoia the candidacy of Pedro Duarte the presidency of the City Council of Porto. The decision was approved this Sunday, to the National Party Council.
Thus confirmed a Right -to -Right Coalition in the race for the leadership of the Porto Authority, since the former minister Pedro Duarte is supported by PSD, CDs and IL.
These three parties will be together in the election campaign to at least 8 Municipalities: Loulé, Portimão, Silves, Bombarral, Mirandela, Arruda dos Vinhos and Almeirim (these with the CDS too); IL will be Only with the PSDwithout the CDS, in Santo Tirso, Montijo, Santa Comba Dão and Vizela. A pre-election agreement had also been announced between PSD and IL EM.

Of the 30 candidacies approved this Sunday, it was defined that IL advances alone In these municipalities: Santa Maria da Feira, Oliveira de Azeméis, Sao Joao da Madeira, Famalicão, Vila Verde, Castelo Branco, Figueira da Foz, Albufeira, Caldas da Rainha, Cascais, Oeiras, Torres Vedras, Santarém, Almada, Setúbal, Lima Bridge and Viana do Castelo.
For now, continues the “Mystery” about Lisbon. IL is likely to support the current President Carlos Coins, but there is no official announcement yet.
