Unfortunately, the world is constantly experiencing brutal armed conflicts, which with tragic consequences affect innocent people, tear social tissues and storm the stability of entire regions. Particularly close to our borders, with great pain and solidarity, we are observing a war in Ukraine, which from February 24, 2022 has become the bloodiest conflict in Europe since World War II. The aggression of Russia, started with a series of unprecedented rocket attacks on Ukrainian military and civilians, led to land invasion of many directions, and the goal of the aggressor became key Ukrainian cities, including the capital’s Kiev.
In recent days, global anxiety has reached a high level again. On the night of Thursday to Friday (12 to 13 June 2025), just before 3:00 Polish time, there was an escalation of tension in the Middle East – Israel began an attack on Iran. This dramatic situation in the Middle East and right at our border means that many Poles are really afraid of the outbreak of World War III.
