Detainee is stuck when trying to escape by hole in the wall in prison cell in the capital

An attempted misplaced escape ended in an unusual way in the early hours of Monday (16), at the Francisco de Oliveira Conde Prison (FOC), in Rio Branco. The detainee Alan Leandro da Silva, in custodian in Cella 13 of Pavilion R, was trapped in a hole that he himself helped open in the wall of the unit.

According to prison officers, Alan and other inmates used pieces of lining and makeshift materials to excavate the opening. At the time of the escape, the plan was interrupted when Alan tried to cross the hole and ended up being jammed, preventing the exit of the others.

The situation required the intervention of the Fire Department, triggered by criminal police as soon as they noticed the incident. The military rescue and removed the prisoner safely without apparent injuries.

After the episode, Alan and the other detainees involved in the attempt were sent to the Flagrant Police Station (Defla), where they should be responsible for attempted escape and damage to public assets.

Until the closure of this edition, the Acre Penitentiary Administration Institute (Iapen) had not yet officially commented on the case.
