EU wants to stop gas imports at the end of 2027 – does Austria keep a door open?

More than three years after Russia’s attack on Ukraine, the EU Commission wants to finally draw a line among Russian gas imports. So far, unlike oil and coal, there is no ban. On Tuesday, the Supreme EU authority will now apparently propose to stop Russian gas deliveries entirely from the end of 2027. But it should encounter resistance – possibly also from Austria.
