The real reason to convene an extraordinary meeting of the Chamber of Deputies where the opposition wants to pronounce the government’s mistrust is According to the Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala, her efforts to cover her own problems. According to him, this applies in particular to the case of Striki Nest, in which the accused chairman of YES Andrej Babiš is the accused. He said it on Tuesday at an extraordinary meeting. He added that his government has good results and therefore deserves the trust of deputies, says TASR newsletter in Prague.
According to Fiala, the government does what it has in connection with the Bitcoin case. He reminded that Exminister of Justice Pavel Blažek informed political responsibility and continues to work to explain everything. Despite the rapid reaction of Blažka, however, people’s trust in the public institution has already disrupted, Fiala admitted. “I understand because it was our government, who said that the state must no longer repeat the mistakes that have occurred, for example, in the Covid era,” The Prime Minister said and hinted at the rule of Andrej Babiš.
Reiterated that the government continues to demand an examination of the case and does not want to conceal anything. “We will not sweep anything under the carpet … We know how fragile is trust in our country, how easy it is to lose and how long it takes for each mistake to correct,” stated. However, the opposition did not call this meeting for the Bitcoin case, but to cover its own problems.
“The opposition is trying to create an impression that should cover her own problems and I mean the problem of the chairman of the YES movement, who is currently in court because of a serious charge of subsidy fraud,” Fiala pointed out that no one is accused of the ruling parties. “In order not to write about his problems, it must be written about ours,” he added.
He then appointed the successes he said he managed to achieve. Appointed for example Healthier public finances, stronger economy, record investments, better energy security, stabilized pension system, new roads and motorways or changes in education. He added that the state is more effective during its reign and the Czech Republic also returned respect in the international environment.
“It is right that you are strict that you are asking questions. I am convinced that we have answered these questions with actions and concrete steps. We have never claimed that we were not making mistakes, but we have always been ready for them to bear responsibility,” he closed his speech by Fiala.
