Fluminense tie and Brazilians close 1 round. Invicts – 17/06/2025 – Esporte

Last Brazilian to debut at the FIFA World Cup, Fluminense faced German Borussia Dortmund, a Champions League finalist last season, and was the team that most dangerous to the opposing goal, especially with Colombian Jhon Arias by the right end.

Despite the pressure and the numerous chances created, neither Fluminense nor Borussia were able to get zero off the score, in a game played on Tuesday afternoon (17) at Metlife Stadium in New Jersey.

In the first round of the competition, the four Brazilians did not suffer defeats, with two wins and two draws.

Among the other Brazilians at the Club World Cup, Palmeiras was also tied with Porto, while Botafogo and Flamengo won their clashes against Seattle Sounders and Sperance, respectively.

In the first half of the game on Tuesday, Fluminense dictated the rhythm and was the only team that really took danger to the opposing goal. The highlight of the first stage was Jhon Arias, with two submissions that forced goalkeeper Kobel to intervene to keep zero on the scoreboard.
