Businessman Ricardo Faria, who became known as “King of Egg” complained last Sunday (15) than he says is a “disaster” to hire employees in Brazil, something he attributes to social programs such as Bolsa Familia.
For the entrepreneur, the federal government’s social program discourages formalization in the labor market.

“It’s a disaster [contratar] in Brazil, ”he said in an interview with S.Paulo Folha. “People are addicted to Bolsa Familia. We don’t even have a chance to bring these people to train and get a better life because they are stuck in the show.”
He states that, in addition to dependence on assistance, there is a new profile of worker who rejects the formal employment relationship. “Young people no longer want to have this formal labor relationship, a signed wallet, and have to go to the same place. Here is the state protecting everything.”
Faria also complained about the country’s business environment compared to the United States and Europe, where its global Eggs group, based in Luxembourg, also has operations.

“Operating in Brazil is rowing upstream with snake and alligator on the way. Already in the United States is how to row hill down,” he said. He defended a broad bureaucracy and criticized the judiciary’s performance in the application of congressional reforms, and criticized what he sees as legal insecurity in relation to labor laws:
“There can be 513 deputies and 81 senators vote, the President of the Republic, with 60 million votes, sign the law and then the judge says no. Our vote is worth nothing,” he said. “Do you know how much a guy gets to pack the egg tray in the United States? $ 20 ($ 110) per hour.”
High tax burden and criticism of the IOF
Faria is contrary to the proposed tax increase for millionaires in Brazil and says it has already transferred its fiscal residence outside the country. According to him, Brazil created a culture of rewarding the little one and punishing those who want to grow.

“It’s another non -financing cost of absurdity. It’s been two years since I have no financing in Brazil. I will be about five more. 15 days ago I had no such charge of IOF,” he told the newspaper.
“The discussion has to be, in my view, how we will reduce the cost of the machine, because no one else is in the mood is to bear this tax burden.”
“The country is staying behind. And it is not the government A, B or C. Forget Lula and Bolsonaro. I do not want to get in that. We are casting, bureaucratizing the process. It makes this process freer than the market will regulate,” said Faria, who has done in the past donations for right-wing campaigns, such as former President Jair Bolsonaro.
