Minister Alexandre de Moraes of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) determined that Google Brazil will provide, within 48 hours, the data of the person responsible for inserting on the internet a. The measure was taken on Tuesday (17) under the criminal action that investigates the attempt to subversion of the democratic order after the 2022 elections.
The request came from the defense of the former Minister of Justice and former Secretary of Public Security of the Federal District, Anderson Torres. The lawyers seek to verify that the version of the document found in their residence corresponds to the one that circulated online.
In the request, the defense of Torres argues that digital expertise is necessary to prove that he was not responsible for writing or disclosing the coup content. “To all evidence, if the criminal prosecution organs to this day continue to tolerate the circulation of the minute in the virtual orbit, it is because they know that it has no legal value,” the lawyers told the Supreme Court.
Requests are part of the complementary phase of diligence, allowed to the defendants of the so -called “nucleus 1”, considered the center of the investigated organization. The deadline for presentation of the requirements ended on Monday (16).

Moraes rejects suspensions and annulment of denunciation
Among the requests rejected by Moraes are: the extension of deadlines for evidence analysis requested by the defenses of Mauro Cid, Augusto Heleno and Braga Netto; and the suspension of the criminal action of the main nucleus.
The minister also rejected the request of the defense of Jair Bolsonaro (PL) to. The lawyers argued that Cid violated the agreement by publicizing sections of the negotiations and criticizing researchers in messages attributed to him on social networks.
