Not only tomatoes. If you don’t bother this plant, you spoil your crop

Every gardener has ever heard of the tomatoes. But perhaps the other vegetables can handle it itself. Or not? “Peeping sometimes pays off for large peppers,” says Jana Bucharová in a podcast. “And even if you are surprised, it also applies to cucumbers.”

Every few days you go carefully to bother tomatoes so that no side shoot does not spoil your crop. But maybe you should stop with the scissors in another flowerbed. Just at cucumbers and peppers. “Their shrubs will be more airy and the shoots will better nourish the fruits,” says Jana Bucharová, expert on garden themes of Receptář magazine.

Peppers with moderate

So should you now be sure to pass pepper bushes now? It depends on the variety. “Peppers with smaller fruits, such as the ram horns, can spawn nicely even without stinging. They will be filled without intervention,” the expert describes.

But if you long for large, nursing fruits, the small stinging can significantly improve the crop. “Paprik shoots are fragile, easy to break and do not have to keep the fetus,” adds Jana Bucharová. Therefore, in similar varieties, it recommends cutting shoots that unnecessarily thicken the bushes, similar to the pruning of trees.

Cucumbers

Even cucumbers do not apply that all varieties and all plants would be necessary. Much depends on the way of growing. “The so -called one shoot is often grown, for example, in a greenhouse, where cucumbers are tied to a string. In that case, it is good to join all the side shoots,” explains Jana Bucharová. But the procedure is not the same as the tomatoes. It is only behind the first sheet. “Then the fetus is formed.” adds an expert.

But you can also improve the harvest in the flowerbed. If you shorten the shoot to several leaves, the plant will not exhaust the plant by feeding the leaves. On the contrary, it is not good to join. “The grafted cucumbers have a massive root system and feed a lot of fruits, even if you let them grow like wood in the forest,” laughs at the end.
