The Portuguese police have reported the arrest of six people for being suspected of integrating the group of violent Armilar Lusitano movement, and for alleged crimes related to terrorist activities and possession of weapons.
The Judicial Police (PJ) Portuguese explained in a statement that there are “strong indications” of the practice of infractions related to terrorist activities, discrimination and incitement to hate and violence and possession of a prohibited weapon.
In the records made, the authorities seized explosive material of various types, several firearms -some of them produced through 3D technology -several 3D printers, several tens of ammunition, white weapons and computer material, among others.
Likewise, the operation resulted in detection online of “indicators of extremist manifestations” by apologists of nationalist and extreme ideologies “radical and violent”, followers of an anti -system and conspiracy ideology, which “encouraged discrimination, hatred and violence against immigrants and refugees.”
The detainees are suspected of integrating the Armilar Lusitano movement, which was intended to be a political movement supported by an armed militia, and are suspected of the practice of acts “framed in the crimes of terrorist infractions, violent alteration of the rule of law and possession of prohibited weapons,” according to the PJ.
These six people will be presented on Tuesday before a court for a first judicial interrogation, which will establish adequate preventive measures.
