Agreement with German company will extend for 5 years beyond 2027, with annual amounts that can reach $ 411 million per season
Bayern Munich is close to renewing its master sponsorship contract with Telekom, a German telecommunications company. The agreement will reach approximately R $ 2 billion throughout its duration, according to the information released by the newspaper Bild on Tuesday (17.jun.2025). The Bavarian club must confirm the extent of the current bond for another 5 years beyond 2027.
According to the newspaper Bildthe annual amounts of the new contract can reach 65 million euros (R $ 411 million). The figure represents a 30% increase over the 50 million euros (R $ 316 million) that Telekom previously paid per season.
Throughout the contract, the total amount will reach 325 million euros, equivalent to approximately R $ 2 billion. The partnership between Bayern Munich and Telekom has existed since 2002, with the brand on the team’s shirt.
The renewal came after Borussia Dortmund has a partnership with Vodafone, one of Telekom’s main competitors in the German market. THE Bild It points out that this movement of the rival was decisive for the telecommunications company to increase its proposal to Bayern.
“Borussia Dortmund was the great ‘responsible’ for renewal”says the Bild. The rival’s agreement with Vodafone pressed Telekom to improve his offer to the Bavarian club.
The interest of the Emirates airline sponsorship of Bayern also contributed to Telekom to raise the values offered. With the renewal confirmation, the partnership will reach the 30 -year mark when the new contract is completed.
Bayern Munich currently disputes the Club World Cup. The German team thrashed Auckland City 10-0 at Group C debut and will face Boca Juniors on Friday (20.jun.2025), at 10 pm (Brasília time).
