Notified people have until July 18, 2025 to present prior defense and/or indicate the offender driver, in cases where the vehicle owner was not directly responsible for the infraction.
Defenses can be filed online through the website www.detran.ac.gov.br, or in person, at Detran headquarters, located at Estrada Dias Martins, 894, Jardim Primavera neighborhood, in Rio Branco. It is also possible to deliver to Ciretran units in the interior of the state, respecting the hours and deadlines of service.
The Detran warns that the non -presentation of the defense within the deadline will result in the judgment to the default, that is, without the manifestation of the driver. If the legal guardian for the vehicle does not indicate who was behind the wheel at the time of the infraction, he himself will be considered the offender, according to article 257 of the CTB.
Another point highlighted by the agency is that the payment of the fine does not prevent the application of the CNH suspension. The penalty will be applied by reasoned decision, pursuant to article 265 of the Traffic Code.
