Chivu: new Inter coach
Chivu is debuting as Inter against Monterrey. The 44-year-old former defender took command of Inter on June nine after Inzaghi’s departure. Earlier, Chivu was in Parma, where only 13 games were in the Italian Championship – with three wins, seven draws and three losses.
The results caused the club to escape the relegation in the last match of the season.

Chivu: History as Technician
After ending his career as a player, Chivu began his career as a coach in Inter’s own base categories in 2018. He gained prominence by winning the Spring Championship title (U-19) in season 2021/22. In February 2025, he was hired to lead Parma in Serie A Italian and managed to rid the team of relegation, which strengthened his name to take on a greater challenge.
Now in charge of Inter’s main team, Chivu signed a contract until 2027. He arrives with the mission of maintaining the team’s high competitive level, betting on the continuity of the technical project left by Inzaghi.
