Piuro – top favorite Joao Almeida drove to the stage victory on the first mountain stage of this year’s Tour de Suisse Solo. The captain of the UAE Team Emirates won the fourth part of Heiden over 193.1 kilometers and 3,000 meters in front of a duo over 193.1 kilometers and 3,000 meters of altitude. In the second chase group and the sixth, Felix Gall (Decathlon AG2R) finished a minute behind. The Frenchman Romain Grégoire arrived immediately in front of Gall and kept his overall lead.
