Group of hackers “Predador”, Israel's ally, claims Ciberataque against Iran's largest cryptocurrency platform

Nobitex is the largest Iranian cryptocurrency bag. The group accuses it with serving Iran’s regime in financing “global” terrorism and systematic violation of international sanctions

A group of hackers with known calls to Israel has announced that it has carried out a cyberataque to Nobitex, Iran’s largest cryptocurrency exchange platform.

Under the name of Gonjeshke of a difficult -Persian expression that translates as a “predator sparrow”-the collective published a clear threat: “Within 24 hours, we will disclose the nobitex source code and internal information of its private network.” And he added in this warning: “All assets that stay there after that will be at risk!”

Through a publication on the social network X (former Twitter), the group justified the attack on accusations that the platform is instrumental to overcome international sanctions and finance terrorist activities. “Nobitex is at the center of the regime’s efforts to finance terror globally and is the favorite tool for violating sanctions. They don’t even pretend to comply. On the contrary, they publicly teach users how to use their infrastructure to circumvent them,” you can read.

This is not the first time that the “predator sparrow” has been in the scene. The group has claimed, over the past few years, computer attacks on sensitive targets in Iran – including fuel supply stations and a steel factory. This week, will also have invaded Bank Sepah systems, one of the country’s leading financial institutions. Despite the claim, reports indicate that banking services remained functional.

Israel usually remains silent on cyber operations carried out against its archrival. Ambiguity is a state policy – an eloquent silence that feeds the constant tension between the two countries, especially in a time when digital war crosses the real conflict in the Middle East.

In a new publication, the “Predador Pardal” group returned to Nobitex with a drier message: “Swimming sanctions not pays off”. The post was accompanied by screenshot captures that allegedly show Cryptocurrency Funds worth tens of millions of dollars, already under control of hackers.

Nobitex, so far, has not publicly reacted to the accusations or confirmed any violation of its systems.
