Mushrooms of this kind most often grow in mixed and deciduous forests. We rarely meet them in typical coniferous forests. Most often they grow near birches, pines, oaks and beeches. They often grow in small clusters, i.e. close to each other, usually at least a few boletus appear. They like high grass, moss and fernsdo not grow on dry soil, they can often “hide” in the thickets.
These are mushrooms that are fairly easy to identify, thanks to which they are suitable for collecting even for people who are just convincing for mushrooming. Noble porcini mushrooms appear throughout Poland. However, the most of them are at the turn of September and October, when they have the most favorable conditions. Nevertheless, we can also find them in many forests.

Many mushroom picking lovers also indicate that noble porcini mushrooms are better to twist, do not cut off by the leg. Before eating them, we should carefully check if they are worm – it’s best to eat only completely healthy.
