Katowice – Sushi capital in Poland?
Of course, the most sushi lovers can be found in the largest cities: in Warsaw, Krakow and Wrocław. However, if you look at the statistics more thoroughly and look at the number of orders per capita, it turns out that the Polish capital of Sushi are … Katowice.
The title of the largest fan of the Japanese specialty in Poland is due to a Warsaw resident, who in the last year ordered from various capital’s Susharnia as many as 170 times – of which 100 times from the same favorite restaurant. As for the momentum, Wrocław reigns here. Last year, one of the users of Pyszne.pl from the capital of Lower Silesia decided to celebrate the first day of summer with a set of nearly 300 pieces of sushi, worth over PLN 4,200.
The most romantic dish
We most often reach for the sticks when we have time to enjoy food – that is on weekends. Most orders are rained on Sunday, then on Saturday and Friday. What perhaps surprising, the golden period of sushi in Poland is winter. December and January are months when the appetite for this dish is noticeably growing among Pyszne.pl users. Added to this are special occasions. The fact that sushi has something of romanticism shows Valentine’s Day – then the number of orders can jump by as much as 120%. We almost eagerly serve them (or someone close to someone) for Women’s Day and Santa Claus – the Sushi set can look as beautiful as a bouquet of flowers.
What sushi Poles like the most?
Poles most often order a proven classic. Sushi boxes are dominated by futomaki – balanced, multi -component rollers, hosomaki – minimalist in form, but full of taste, and uramaki, in which the rice goes outside, and Nori envelops the filling from the inside. Of course, soy sauce, Wasabi and marinated ginger are inseparable additives. We are also more and more willing to reach for Teriyaki sauce and spicy spicy Mayo.
