The Rio Grande do Sul Court of Justice (TJRS) Marked for August 26 the analysis of the appeals of the defenses of the four defendants condemned by the in Santa Maria. The session should take place at 9am in Porto Alegre.
The process returns to the TJRS for consideration of subsidiary theses presented by the defenses. Among the points to be analyzed are the penalties imposed on the defendants and if the decision of the trial is in accordance with the evidence of the case.
The last decision regarding the case occurred in April, when the 2nd class of. The lawyers had appealed against the decision of the Supreme Court of February, which confirmed the convictions and upheld the arrests.
Sentences range from 18 to 22 years of imprisonment.

Remember the case
The Kiss nightclub in Santa Maria caught fire at dawn on January 27, 2013, leaving 242 people dead and 636 wounds.
The fire began during a presentation by the band Gurizada Fandangueira, which used pyrotechnic artifacts on the stage that had foam ceiling.
