Macron said US President Donald Trump seems to have changed his mind since he met with G7 leaders in Canada
France President Emmanuel Macron said on Tuesday that he was against military action against Iran, which could lead to a regime change and potential chaos, asking for a ceasefire with a return to negotiations about his nuclear program.
Speaking to reporters, Macron said US President Donald Trump seems to have changed his mind since he met with G7 leaders in Canada on Monday, where Macron said Trump was pressing for a ceasefire.
“We don’t want Iran to get a nuclear weapon,” Macron said. “But the biggest mistake would be to use military attacks to change the regime, because then it would be chaos.”
