What to do to make them a lot of fruit? To enjoy abundant harvest, we need to provide seedlings with the right conditions. A sunny position is important, but also rich in minerals. It is also worth enriching plants with a home -made yeast conditioner, which is best applied in the form of spraying.
Yeast spraying to strawberries. Nutrient for abundant crops
In order for strawberries to have a lot of fruit, good quality cuttings are important. For abundant thugs you also need a sunny position, moist soil and permanent weeding. In order for the strawberries to be large, sweet and juicy, you must also remember to pull out weeds. Those growing with seedlings take valuable nutrients from the soil, which are needed for the plant for proper growth. It is also worth using a homemade natural fertilizer that will stimulate plants to abundant flowering, and thus also fruiting. Yeast and sugar will be helpful here. To prepare homemade fertilizer for strawberries, we need bakery yeast and water. We dissolve 250 g of yeast cube in a liter of summer water. After two hours, when the yeast begins to work, we dilute the fertilizer. Mix with water in a 1:10 ratio. Such a mixture will stimulate the cuttings to grow and more abundant April, and will protect the roots against diseases. Water the strawberries with a yeast conditioner once every two weeks. We need about a glass of fertilizer for one seedling. Ecological crops also use yeast conditioner with sugar. According to many growers, such a preparation works best if it is applied through spraying. To prepare it, dissolve 10 g of dry yeast and 100 grams of sugar in 10 liters of water. The solution must ferment, which is why we leave it for about 3 hours. After this time, the solution is ready. We carry out spraying in the evening so that the ingredients manage to activate before a hot day.
How to store strawberries so that they do not rot quickly?
In order for strawberries to keep freshness for longer, let’s pay attention to the condition of the fruit during picking or buying. If they are overripe and very soft, you need to eat them right away. Before we put the fruit in the fridge, it is worth changing them and throwing out those that are soft or moldy. When we break or buy fruit, instead of a plastic bag, it is better to translate them immediately to Łubianka or a bucket. Then they will be less exposed to crushing. In addition, we wash the fruit only before eating. Many people make a basic mistake and put strawberries under water as soon as they are brought home. Unfortunately, washed, they break faster. If we want strawberries to stay fresh for longer, we can arrange them individually on a flat plate and store them in the fridge. Then the fruit will not come into contact. Crushed, they will start playing juices and rot. However, if we have too little space in the glaciers, we can arrange strawberries with layers, separating them with a paper towel. If the fruit releases juice, the towel absorbs it. Strawberries stored in the fridge in this way will be fresh for 2-3 days.
