Skewers are one of the most -chosen grill dishes. They are easy to prepare, effective and give great opportunities to combine your favorite flavors. Classic skewers consist of pieces of meat (e.g. chicken, pork or beef) and vegetables (including zucchini, mushrooms, onions and peppers). Vegetarian versions are also becoming more and more popular, where meat turns into tofu or Halloumi cheese. The dish can also be prepared in a sweet edition. Pineapple and peaches work well, which is connected, for example, with a turkey. You can also get corn on a stick.
Paprika skewers are rather a traditional barbecue propositionwhich will appeal to all carnivores. The key to the success of the recipe is to season and marinate the neck. This will emphasize its taste and prevent dryness. The whole will come out very soft, juicy and full of aroma.
Ingredients:
Ingredients for skewers:
- a kilo of pork neck,
- red pepper,
- yellow pepper,
- yellow onion,
- red onion.
Ingredients for marinade:
- 2 cloves of garlic,
- 1.5 teaspoons of sweet pepper,
- a teaspoon of hot peppers,
- 1/2 teaspoon of smoked peppers,
- a teaspoon of thyme (crushed in a mortar),
- 4 tablespoons of rapeseed oil,
- a spoon of mustard,
- a spoon of lemon juice,
- Salt, fresh pepper (to taste).
Method of performance:
Rinse the meat and cut it on a similar size, quite large pieces – cubed with a side about 2.5 cm. Transfer to a bowl.
Combine all the ingredients of the marinade (garlic – squeezed by Prague). Rub the meat with it. Wrap the bowl with cling film and put in the fridge for at least 2-3 hours (preferably overnight).
Remove the seed nests from the peppers. Peel the onions. Cut the vegetables into pieces – slices with the same side as meat cubes.
Prepare sticks for skewers. Morest them with water (so that they do not burn during baking). Hope with the sticks alternately meat and pieces of vegetables.
Bake the skewers prepared in this way. Turn away from time to time. Bake for about 15-20 minutes – until the meat and vegetables become soft.
You can also bake skewers with peppers in the oven. Then place them on a plate lined with aluminum foil or on a grill (put a piece of foil under the grille to make fat melting from the meat flow into it). Bake for about 30-40 minutes at 200 ° C, turning from time to time.
