Palmeiras coach, Abel Ferreira underwent a somewhat embarrassing situation, on Wednesday (18), while granted a news conference before the match against Al Ahly for the Club World Cup.
The Portuguese coach was asked by a carioca journalist about, who is Abel’s compatriot and was presented on the same day as the press conference.
“Do you want to ask another question?”
“Since you talked a lot about the World Cup, today you arrived in Brazil another Portuguese (…) I don’t know if you know him, Admar Lopes, came to work in Porto …”, began the reporter.
“Don’t you want to ask another question?” Reported the Palmeiras coach. “No, I want to do this. Do you know him? They even talked?”
Abel then decides to go with the press conference. “I give you the opportunity to ask another question. I’m here to talk about Palmeiras,” he said, before asking a FIFA employee to pass the word to another journalist. See below:
During the World Cup, a reporter had a chance to ask Abel Ferreira a question – and wanted to know about Vasco’s new soccer executive.
Abel: “Do you want to ask another question?”
Reporter: “No, that’s the question.”
Abel: “Next question.”– Pearls of the sports press (@esporteperola)
