Nelsinho Trad says that members of official entourages embark on Jordan on commercial flights
13 Brazilians who were part of official entourage visiting Israel start the return to Brazil later this Thursday (19.Jun.2025) on commercial flights, said the senator (PSD-MS).
The group is in Jordan. Another 14 Brazilians who are also in the country will board on Friday (20.jun).
Trad is chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Commission and has been following the departure of Brazilians from Israel because of the beginning of the Israeli conflict with Iran.
“The Federal Senate Foreign Relations Commission informs that it is still mobilized, in articulation with Itamaraty and the Brazilian Air Force (FAB), for the safe return of Brazilians who are in Israel and expressed interest in repatriation.”says the senator in a note sent by his press office.
According to him, FAB is awaiting the reopening of Israeli airspace and the completion of operational procedures to seek people who want to return to Brazil.
On Wednesday (18.Jun), another group with authorities who were at work in the country the entourage visited Israel to learn about public defense and security technologies at the invitation of the local Foreign Ministry. The return is being made possible by the Israeli government, which also acted with the costs of airline tickets.
On Monday (16.Jun), delegations of mayors and other authorities who were also in Israel left Jordan and arrived in Saudi Arabia, where they embarked towards Brazil on Tuesday (17.jun).
