Macron posts G7 video with “Capivara Music”

France President Emmanuel Macron (Renaissance, Centro) posted an Instagram video on Wednesday (18.Jun.2025) of the G7 leaders summit with the Russian music “Capybara”, which has viralized in the last 2 years at Tiktok. The meeting took place on June 16 and 17 in Kananaskis, Canada.

The video shows the world leaders walking one by one for the official photo of the summit with the music playing. Among them, it is possible to see the president (PT). The G7 is made up of Germany, Canada, the United States, France, Italy, Japan and the United Kingdom – alien of the EU (European Union), which participates in meetings. Brazil was one of the countries invited to participate in the summit in Canada, as did South Africa, Australia, South Korea, United Arab Emirates, India, Mexico and Ukraine.

The song “Capybara” was made up of a young Russian game developer released in 2022. Alexey Pluzhnikov, 23, said he composed music, which comicly repeat the name of the animal, during a night of insomnia where he was developing a game whose main character was precisely a capybara.

In 2023 the music went viral on social networks like Tiktok, circulating as a soundtrack for young audience videos.
