As part of the solution to stay alive, he decided to bet on hiring political marketing consultant Marcelo Vitorino to assist in trying to reconstruct his image.
Vitorino worked in the campaigns of and the presidency of the Republic by PSDB, in 2010 and 2018, respectively, and had worked in the team that elected mayor of in 2016.
Last year, he taught classes in a course on municipal elections promoted by the PSDB and the Teotônio Vilela Institute, the Toucan Political Formation arm. He is also a teacher of political marketing at ESPM.
On June 5, when Com, Vitorino published on Instagram a revamped version of the party, symbol of the party, with the words: “PSDB. Radical in what matters”.
In the caption, he wrote that the PSDB had taken “a big step” in his reformulation project by putting himself like a center party. He also stated that the acronym was missing not to present his own presidential candidate in 2022 and said he awaited a Tucan presidential candidacy in 2026.
“The PSDB plays an important role in counterpoint and needs to continue existing from preventing power from becoming concentrated in only one ideology,” Vitorino wrote on the social network.
The week after approval, the PSDB with Somos alleging divergences about who would command the new acronym and claimed to have resumed contact with other legends to discuss mergers or federations.
Sought by the panel, the marketer declined to make statements or provide further details about his participation in the acronym reconstruction process.
