The United States are working to remove US citizens who want to leave Israel organizing flights and matches of cruise ships, said American ambassador Mike Huckabe in an X post on Wednesday (18), while the fears of a new military climbing increase between Iran and Israel.
The US embassy was working on preparations for withdrawal, Huckabee said, asking Americans in the country to enroll to receive updates through the State Department Smart Traveler program.
“Urgent warning! American citizens who want to leave – the US embassy in Israel @usembassyjlm is working on evacuation flights and cruise ships matches. You must sign up for the Smart Traveler Registration Program (Step),” Huckabe wrote.
It was not clear, however, how many Americans intended to leave Israel or if the US Army would assist on withdrawal flights.
