President praises vice work and quotes loyalty to avoid episodes such as Dilma’s impeachment
The president (PT) praised the performance of the vice president (PSB) at the head of the Ministry of Development, Industry and Commerce, stating that he has done extraordinary work to reheat the Brazilian industry. The petista also stressed that Alckmin’s choice for the vice presidency was fundamental to avoid situations similar to that of (PT), highlighting his loyalty.
“Alckmin has been doing extraordinary work in the vice presidency. He is Minister of Development, Industry and Commerce and has done extraordinary work for Brazilian industry to grow again after 14 years. He has an extraordinary loyalty in the relationship with me. […] I, honestly, I think I got a hit in bringing Alckmin to be vice, because otherwise it could bring another person who was, like the [Michel] scam [Rousseff]. He’s not that kind of people ”he declared.
The statement was given during the program recording Graduallyon Sunday (15.jun.2025), in the palace of Alvorada. THE podcast It is presented by Mano Brown and Semayat Oliveira. This is the 2nd time Lula participates in the program. The first was in 2021, when he was not a candidate for the presidency.
Alckmin to PSB in 2022 to enable his nomination as deputy on Lula’s plate. However, its trajectory is marked by the founding of the PSDB in 1988, which remained until 2021. The former governor of São Paulo is recognized as a historical toucan, with political roots linked to Mario Covas (1995-2001), another important leader of the PSDB.
