19 children and young people were removed from the Child of the Social and Parish Center of Revelhe, in Fafe, on suspicion of sexual abuse practices at the institution. The Public Prosecution Service opened an inquiry into the case and the Direction is surprised.
Windows are still open, but the 15 users That were welcomed there, this Wednesday, for five other institutions. Four is missing on vacation and will then be replaced. Most are between 15 and 19, they are young people without a family rear.
In a statement, Social Security says that the inspection action took place with peace of mind, ensuring the superior interest of young people. He says he informed the prosecutor of all the “circumstances” that motivated this decision, which had the intervention of the Judicial Police.
SIC has confirmed that there are suspicions of the practice of sexual abuse in the institution and that they may be related to the parish priest that revelit in 2021 and that he assumed the presidency of Lar da Criança nine months ago.

Contacted this morning by SIC, the Archdiocese of Braga says it has not received any complaint against the parish priest on the Diocesan Commission for the protection of vulnerable minors and waits for a meeting, already requested to social security, to decide whether to take measures.
