Allies of the president of, say that the delivery of a medal to him by former President Jair Bolsonaro, last Tuesday (17), does not change the party’s plans for the 2026 election.
The three “is” medal – presented to Kassab during an event where Amos were together in Presidente Prudente (SP), is reserved by Bolsonaro to nearby allies.
The treat signals an approximation of the former president with the Secretary of Government of the State of São Paulo, after heavy criticism launched to Kassab by Bolsonarists in recent months.
Kassab has said that he naturally faced the gesture and that he does not mean support for a Bolsonarist candidate in 2026.
The PSD is planned to present its own candidacy, or Eduardo Leite (RS), unless Tarcísio de Freitas run for the presidency, when he would have support from the party.
