Actor was hospitalized at Albert Einstein Hospital treating health problems in São Paulo
Died this Thursday, at the age of 91, Brazilian actor Francisco Cuoco. Icon of Brazilian soap operas and known for the heartthrob’s roles, was hospitalized at the Albert Einstein Hospital in São Paulo. The information was confirmed by actress Rosamaria Murtinho, friend of the actor’s wife.
The cause of death was not disclosed. Cuoco faced health problems related to advanced age.
With over 60 years of career, Francisco Cuoco had his first steps taken in another profession. Born on November 29, 1933, son of Italian salesman Leopoldo Cuoco and housewife Antonieta, the actor had a childhood marked by simplicity in the traditional neighborhood of São Paulo, Brás. Initially the actor’s passion was the circus that was armed in front of his house, where he began to be interested in art.
