Electricity prices in Austria are among the highest worldwide

Heidelberg – In Austria, consumers pay for electricity as much as in just a few other countries in the world. According to the comparison portal Verivox, Austria lies in 8th place in the ranking of the most expensive countries with an average price of 36.9 cents per kilowatt hour. The electricity is only more expensive than in Austria in Denmark, Ireland, Belgium, Germany, the Cayman Islands and Great Britain.
